MP North Tongu: Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa |
Speaking on GBC's Current Affairs Programme ‘Focus’, which discussed the government's double intake policy he said the country must stop politicising education and focus on improving its quality.
A Lecturer the University of Education, Winneba, Dr. Prince Armah said the policy is likely to increase enrolment in the various schools and frantic efforts must be made by Ghana to improve and expand infrastructure.
He added that this is a process and not an event so government should identify the problems emerging and work towards solving them.
An Educationist, Dr. Daniel Bruce said the harm has already been done and we have no choice than to face the consequences saying government should expand facilities in schools to end the double intake in the shortest possible time.
He added that the cause of all these problems is inconsistency in education policy. He therefore appealed to politicians to stop politicising education and improve the quality of education in the country.
